Development of GTM model for a non-invasive diagnostic liver disease test

Our client, a pioneer in medical diagnostics, aimed to break new ground with a non-invasive diagnostic test for liver disease via breath analysis. Recognizing the potential of the product, LSC worked with our client and conducted secondary market research to develop hypotheses that were subsequently tested in the market to identify physician needs and size markets. LSC was able to prioritize markets for entry based on their size and suitability, ultimately developing a roadmap to shift the device positioning from organ transplant applications to the more expansive domain of NASH and chronic liver disease assessment. This strategic repositioning unlocked a larger opportunity, maximizing the product’s reach and potential impact in liver disease diagnostics.
