A large pharmaceutical company developed global plans to launch their pharmacologic therapy for a rare autoimmune condition. LSC was asked to evaluate the global launch plan and target patient population in Mexico to ensure the local environment aligned to the global plans. After careful analysis of the competitive landscape and available treatment options, LSC identified that the global target patient population was not sufficient to justify launch in the country. LSC proceeded to identify alternative positioning and a target patient population to ensure a robust market for our client’s product.
