Pierluigi Bruschetta, Managing Partner, Jersey City, NJ.
Pierluigi founded and currently leads LSC globally. Prior to founding LSC, Pierluigi held partnership and leadership roles in the pharma and healthcare practices of various global strategic consulting firms (including Gemini Consulting and most recently AT.Kearney).
In over 25 years of pharma and healthcare consulting, Pierluigi has advised numerous global product teams at blue-chip top 15 pharmaceutical and medical device companies, as well as CEOs and CCOs of fast-growing US and EU based biotechs. Pierluigi has direct experience in several therapeutic areas, including oncology and hematology, CNS, ophthalmology, CVD and diabetes, inflammatory. He has focused a significant portion of his recent work and applied research on commercial strategy and go-to-market issues of innovative gene and cell therapies worldwide.
A father of two children, he holds a B.B.A from University of Palermo, Italy, an M.S. in Cell Biology and Biotechnology from John Hopkins University, an MBA from Bocconi University of Milan and an MPH from Columbia University.

Dean Gray, Partner, Boston, MA.
Dean Gray has over 30 years of experience in life sciences and healthcare, having held senior consulting roles and many industry roles in strategy and operations. He has guided large firms and startups to bring transformative MedTech, BioPharma and Digital Health products to market, at pace.
Dean provides growth strategy and commercial expertise that has accelerated business growth for clients in the U.S., Europe, and Asia across a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic applications. He has deep knowledge of customer and patient-centric device-data solutions, digital biomarkers and therapeutics, remote monitoring and mobile health, diagnostic imaging, robotics, and AI-enabled platforms particularly in ophthalmology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, urology, cell therapy and regenerative medicine, neurodegenerative and metabolic diseases, and a range of surgical specialties. Dean excels at helping clients to understand new growth opportunities, develop actionable growth and go-to-market strategies supported with compelling clinical and business cases, prepare and implement impactful product launches, and rapidly and profitably scale. Prior to joining LSC, Dean was a partner and global lead for digital surgery at PA Consulting. Before that, he was a partner at Technology Commercialization Group and a principal at Appareo, both life science strategy consultancies. Dean spent 20 years in the life sciences industry, including as VP/GM of Heidelberg Engineering’s neurology division, VP of global marketing for bio-orthopedics at Sanofi Genzyme, and as VP international marketing and VP strategic planning for Boston Scientific’s endoscopy and urology divisions. Earlier, Dean was GM of the surgical skin preparation business unit at BD and regional business manager for Asia at Lederle (now Pfizer).
He holds a master’s degree in international business from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Earlham College.

Ron Kwok, Principal, San Francisco, CA.
Ron Kwok is a Principal at LSC. He brings over 15 years of experience partnering with life science and healthcare executives to address their strategic business needs.
At LSC, Ron assists small, medium, and large biopharmaceutical and medical technology companies in their commercial and medical activities, which include launch, portfolio, and lifecycle planning. He is well-versed in engaging and supporting cross-functional teams to achieve key objectives. Ron also has significant experience in several therapeutic areas, including oncology, CNS, and rare disease. Prior to LSC, Ron’s experience stretches across the healthcare and life science space. He has held consulting positions at ClearView Healthcare Partners, Eversana Consulting (formerly Promidian), and Frost & Sullivan. In addition, he’s worked at Kaiser Permanente, as a performance improvement and change management consultant, and several oncology-focused biopharma companies in bioprocessing and process development.
Ron holds a bachelor’s of science in genetics from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from Santa Clara University, Leavey School of Business.

Akira Robinson, Associate Partner, Los Angeles, CA.
Akira Robinson brings more than 15 years of experience working with life science organizations, specifically in launch excellence, go-to market strategy, brand planning, market assessments, HCP/Patient marketing, and market forecasting. His therapeutic area experience includes oncology, cardiology, metabolic disease, infectious disease, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and neurology. Over the years, Akira has developed strong relationships with his clients across the globe, often guiding products through launch and in-line data-driven strategic decisions though a cross-functional and flexible, but innovative approach.
Prior to joining LSC, Akira was a Principal and Launch Practice Lead at EVERSANA Management Consulting, where he helped to build a new practice area to support clients in the launch phase of commercialization. Before that, Akira was a Senior Manager, Healthcare/Life Sciences, with Deallus Consulting, where he managed complex, multinational client engagements, and represented clients at numerous oncology society meetings. Before Deallus, Akira was a Managing Consultant with GlobalData, where he worked with clients in US, Germany, Spain, Norway, Switzerland, Finland, and India on more than 20 projects with scope spanning markets in more than 25 countries.
He holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University.

Javier Picó, Partner, Mexico City, Mexico.
Javier cofounded the company and has dedicated his entire professional career to healthcare in different landscapes, focusing on developing innovative solutions to help people get access to the best health services available.
Javier has collaborated with governments, health industry associations, hospitals, healthcare providers, medical device companies, diagnosis device companies, health insurance companies and, above all, the pharmaceutical industry, in order to align needs and incentives through innovation. That innovation is backed by a solid quantitative background, with the goal of implementing healthcare policies that are effective in the public sector as well as the private sector.
Javier is an engineer with a master’s degree in applied economics as well as health economics. He is currently developing his doctoral dissertation on “The Value of Health.”

Marco Pedrazzoli, Partner, Zug, Switzerland.
Marco joined LSC in 2008, shortly after starting his career in consulting, to specialize in pharmaceuticals and healthcare. He contributed to the growth and internationalization process of the company, rotating across all offices (Europe, Mexico, USA, Gulf) and helping build LSC’s global excellence reputation.
Marco has developed broad global expertise, helping pharma and healthcare system partners to ensure full and timely adoption of innovation—from site readiness for ATMPs, to healthcare systems capacity (for diagnostics and treatment), care pathways, innovative pricing and contracting schemes, and patient/center support programs.
He has specialized in neurosciences, inflammation, hematology and rare diseases, where he is leading a number of international assignments for multiple leading global pharma and biotech firms. He combines a strong quantitative and analytical background with a passion for compelling “story building,” helping professionals in the pharma and healthcare industry visualize and communicate opportunities and challenges.
Marco is Italian, a father of two, and has degrees in economics and business administration from Bocconi University, as well as a master’s degree in public health (MPH) from Columbia University.

Fabio Lotto, Partner, Milan, Italy.
Fabio brings 20 years of management consulting experience with Bain&Co and OC&C among others. He held leadership positions with responsibility over Italy and Eastern Europe and as team lead of the Private Equity Group of Bain.
Fabio is an expert in corporate strategy, top-line growth, portfolio optimization, international expansion, commercial excellence, e-commerce acceleration, route-to-market strategy, sales force organization, turnaround. He developed extensive experience in due diligence and post-acquisition value enhancement projects for portfolio companies owned by PE and VC investors. He has also worked on a broad range of corporate mergers & acquisitions and PMI in several industries.
Fabio has relevant international experience in working and living for several years in Russia, US and UK. He earned a MBA at SDA Bocconi Milano which included an exchange at NYU Stern Business School in NY (USA) and a degree in Business Administration at the University of Pisa. He has been a Student of Business Administration at “Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa”. He also participated in executive education programs on digital marketing and Analytics Powered Strategy at Columbia University (NY) and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (Boston).

Boris Schlaak, Partner, Berlin, Germany.
Boris is a Partner at LifeSciences Consultants and leads the buildup of our German team and operations. He focuses on advising multinational pharmaceutical companies and brings experiences with medtech firms, health insurances and associations as well. In his former life he worked for strategy consulting houses like EY-Parthenon, Strategy& and Kearney. Boris is passionate about developing commercial strategies and models with clients through a portfolio-driven and highly patient-centric approach. Beyond strategy development, he has helped clients build competitive capabilities with large-scale transformations and supports in peri-deal situations as well. His therapeutic area expertise spans respirology, CNS, CVD, immunology, dermatology, and rare diseases. Boris lives with his family in Berlin and holds a diploma in neurosciences from the JWG University and the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysics in Frankfurt am Main.
Kaushik Patel, Partner, London, UK.
Kaushik joined LSC from Oliver Wyman where he was responsible for driving commercial strategy. Kaushik previously worked at Accenture, Parexel, IQVIA and Huron Life Sciences
He has nearly 25 years of experience with in the Pharmaceutical Industry in various leadership roles from mergers and acquisitions, strategy and project implementation projects.
Kaushik has extensive international experience having worked in Europe, Latin America, South East Asia and the Middle East.
Kaushik has extensive experience in market access strategy and product life cycle management and supply chain excellence.

Marina Ponomareva, Principal, Milan, Italy.
Marina joined LSC short after her graduation from the MSc program in International Management in Bocconi University. She has built her consulting career in LSC – growing steadily from business analyst in 2016, to Milan office principal in 2023.
Over the years, Marina has supported LSC in a wide variety of assignments, ranging from market landscape and asset potential assessment to commercial and access strategies generation. She is most passionate about projects encompassing innovative tactics ideation, blueprinting and piloting, as well as roll-out planning.
Marina has a second degree in International Law from Moscow State Institute of International Affairs. Although she has decided to forgo the legal career for business consulting, she believes the multidisciplinary academic background and work experience in diverse fields helps her approach strategic challenges with an 360-degree, out-of-the-box mindset.
